Outtakes

Who says you can't have a great on-location photo shoot in February? Yesterday, I met up with Miss C for a fun and fabulous senior session. We visited a variety of locations that often involved, climbing on piles of twisted metal, squeezing through barbed-wire fences, and dangling over pools of water. Here are some of the outtakes from the day:

Just another day at the the junk yard! Miss C & mom checked with the owner to make sure that we could borrow his junk for the shoot. He'd never gotten that request before but was happy to share...he was just glad someone loved his junk as much as he did!

A friend of the family let us borrow his beautifully restored cars and trucks (and a Harley, too!) for a bit. I joked with Miss C that she brought her very own pit crew! (Here, her sister is doing a little make-up touch-up).

Miss C had to scoot across the length of the limb that is dangling over the water (in her pointy-toed alligator skin boots, no less!). I told her I saw something similiar on Man Vs. Wild once (minus the fashionable footwear).

Photography is fun...and dangerous {lol}!

Senior Memory Albums

The Old Church House

Just a random image I found stored on my hard drive. I have a thing for old run down buildings, especially churches. I've always dreamed of buying an abandoned church and turning it into a studio or a wedding chapel. Of course, the cost of moving an old building on top of renovating an old building is astronomical. Leave it to reality to kill dreams! :)

What I Did on Christmas Vacation: Part Three

Skiing!

The Franks family delayed our Christmas celebration until January so that we could journey to the mountains of Red River, New Mexico for some fun in the snow. I've been to Red River many times over the past eleven years, but I think this was the best snow and the best weather I've seen since I first started going there.

A view from the top. Not bad for a little point-n-shoot camera! (I had to borrow Hannah's camera--I saved my camera for tubing and candids. My camera wouldn't fit in my pocket anyway!). By the way, that tiny little person is Tim skiing ahead of me...

What I Did on Christmas Vacation: Part Two

Hanging out with the family!

We headed to Kansas for a Christmas celebration with my family: the Wisdoms (I know, it was an awesome maiden name. I should have kept it--just kidding!).

We were only there for 25 hours (because we suddenly were in a blizzard warning and decided we had to high-tail it home), but we managed to pack in a lot in a short time.

My dad made these....

along with ham and (my personal favorite) cheese grits!

Here's a picture of Tim and Scooter, "the Christmas miracle." Scooter never had been very adventurous....until we let him run free in the Kansas wilderness...um, I mean, plainsland. We spent over an hour scourging the surrounding roads and cornfields by foot, car and four wheeler to no avail. Later, Tim went out to check his phone messages and made one last sweep in the car. He spotted tiny brown puppy ears in the neighboring field and Scooter was rescued.



Monkey see, monkey do! My sister discovered that her daughter, Sophie, likes to walk around the house humming, like her Nana. Seems like she is taking on more of her characteristics in this picture!



We played a little Bingo before heading out.



Scooter bonded with the newest addition to the clan: baby Callie. Stay tuned for pictures; she'll be here soon!

What I Did On Christmas Vacation: Part One

Sledding!



My best friend wheeled into town with her family just in time for a nice December snow. Being Texans, they aren't really used to seeing much of the white stuff, so we took advantage by heading to the hill of our local park for a fun--but chilly!--afternoon excursion.



Poor Coop...he wasn't prepared for the western Oklahoma weather. We had to hook him up with some high dollar snow boots (a.k.a plastic bags to cover the tennis shoes). Not very stylish, but they got the job done!






Tim showed us his acrobatic skills.




We took a few spills...but it's not fun unless you get all snow-covered!




Above all, we were sure to obey all local ordinances. {lol}
